Description

Begonia is  a sort of plants of the family of Begoniaceae, and, certainly, the largest in is mute (totals over 1000 types) and the most known. Begonia habitats in the wild nature (rain rainforests and hillsides up to the height of 3-4 thousand meters, and also less damp zones in tropics and subtropics). South America (to Mexico in the north) gives "haven" to the greatest number of types; in Africa the Begonia prefers the western regions of the continent (differing in the increased dampness); in Asia — numerous islands of the Malay Archipelago (Big Zondsky, Small Zondsky, Molukksky, Philippine and myriads small), the island Sri Lanka (till 1972 — Ceylon), the Southern India, its mountain areas and East Himalayas.
