Campanula is the extensive sort of one-year, biannual and perennial plants belonging to the family of Campanulaceae, and numbering about 280 types. Campanulas live in various places of the countries with a temperate climate. They can be met on meadows, waste grounds, in the woods and mountain districts. These plants are long since very widespread and in the cultivated gardens. Both the Latin, and Russian name received a plant for the bell-shaped form of a flower: "campanula" – a diminutive form of the word "campana" that is translated as "bell".
